Positive Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for a Claims Handler for a Hire Car company based in Warrington. Due to new current opportunities within the business they are looking for an experienced Claims Handler to join the team. 

You will be responsible for the assessment of liability in order to authorise standard and prestige credit hires. The ideal candidate will ensure all claims are dealt with professionally in line with company policy and procedures whilst meeting and where possible exceeding business objectives

Salary – Starting from £23,000 per year

Our client has been supplying hire cars to the Insurance and Fleet industry since 1996, giving Brokers and Insurers access to a unique fleet of performance cars to provide to their Policyholders after non-fault accidents. The role will be based in Warrington, supported by vehicle depots in Hemel Hempstead and Leek, Staffordshire. A wide range of high-performance cars are delivered both nationally and across Europe.

Job Role:

  • To efficiently deal with hire referrals from business partners
  • Ensure that notification of all claims reported to the business are completed within agreed service levels, effectively managing the FNOL process with the client to determine the most appropriate course of action
  • To gather and verify as correct, all documentation from the client/repairing garage/engineer and establish factual information regarding the client’s claim
  • Liaise with all relevant parties such as repairing garages and third-party insurers, in order to progress the hire claim
  • Arrange inspections, chase authorisation for repairs and monitor repair period in line with the ABI GTA
  • To undertake and record accurate mitigation investigation and justification for provision of hire vehicle that can be forward to third party insurers
  • Have an awareness and understanding of departmental targets and how you contribute to the achievement of this
  • Liaise with the legal team on any liability issues
  • Assist the team in answering of inbound calls within the correct KPI/ SLA standards
  • Action and authorise payments to service providers

Education & Experience:

  • ABI GTA
  • Knowledge of relevant case law
  • Industry codes of practice
  • Legislative and regulatory requirements
